We all know: soon Messenger and Instagram will become one. And with a view to this momentous merger, Facebook's messaging service unveiled a new logo, revisited chat themes, and new features like i selfie sticker and vanish mode. Messenger update: new logo and new features
As you can see in the image above, the Facebook Messenger logo has been totally revisited. The traditional blue of the icon, to which we have been accustomed for years, has disappeared to make way for one shade ranging from blue to pink. A style much closer to that of Instagram. “Our new logo reflects a shift to the future of messaging, a more dynamic, fun and integrated way to stay in touch with the people you are close to,” said Stan Chudnovsky - Vice President of Messenger - commented on the logo update.
But this is certainly not the only news that awaits us. Apparently, the messaging app will have new themes that include "love and tie-dye" to ensure users a much wider customization. Not to mention the so-called “selfie stickers”, which allow you to add small and fun stickers to your photos. Finally, the most interesting feature of this Messenger update seems to be the “vanish mode”, able to make the conversations disappear. At this point we ask ourselves: what else can these new functions mean if not the imminent arrival of the merger between Facebook and Instagram chats?
Probably, nothing more than this. Basically, Zuckerberg had announced a merger between the two messaging services by the end of the year. And the first signs of integration seem to be already there: for some time now, Messenger has been allowing users to watch a video together during video calls.
