Canal + has confirmed the merger of its offer with that of Netflix. From October 15, 2021, the two offers will be inseparable for new subscribers and the new single subscription will save 7 euros. Former subscribers will have the choice between keeping their usual offer without Netflix or merging the two subscriptions while saving money.
We saw it coming and it's now official. Canal + includes Netlfix in its offer and it will be possible to take out the group subscription from October 15, 2021. The two companies announced a distribution agreement on Monday. Canal +, which already offers OCS offers, will soon integrate the full Netflix catalog under the standard formula (two screens + HD), all moderately for a reduced rate subscription. The partnership benefits everyone. With the new € 35 formula bringing together all the Canal +, OCS and Netflix channels, the subscriber saves around € 7. Indeed, a separate subscription to Canal + and Netflix (standard) would have cost him € 41,89 by adding Netflix's € 11,99. It is therefore a real advantage for those who wish to accumulate their subscriptions knowing that in your country, approximately one million people subscribe separately to Netflix and Canal +.
Different rate for former Canal + subscribers
How often, this new offer is designed to encourage recruitments of new subscribers. The old ones as far as they are concerned benefit from a group subscription at 39,9 € instead of 34,9 €. For them, the saving is 2 €. Unlike the new ones, they will have the choice between keeping their current subscription at € 29,90 (Canal + and OCS) or switching to the formula including Netflix. Finally, those who have a subscription Full Canal + at € 79,9 per month will access Netflix for free and therefore at no additional cost.
