Dedicated to young people

Before analyzing the device, a necessary premise: who it is Realme? It is a very young Chinese company officially born in 2010 from a rib of Oppo. Since last year, however, Realme has become independent, has given itself a new logo and has decided to land in the West.

Realme 3 Pro is the company's first device to land in Italy, ready to conquer especially the very young thanks to an extremely explicit motto, "Proud to Be Young", in two truly seductive colors - Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple - and at a price really popular: 199 euros for the 4/64 GB version e 249 euros for the 6/128 GB variant.

Not very original but very solid

It will take you a few seconds to understand what Realme 3 Pro is a solid and well-built product despite the design it is not particularly original but, let's face it, which smartphone is really original now?

To characterize it we find a plastic shell, a particular finish that reproduces the curves of the Le Mans circuit, the fingerprint reader and the dual camera module. On the right we have the on / off button, while on the left the volume rocker and the slot for 2 SIM and microSD. Yes, with this Realme 3 Pro you won't have to give up anything. Finally, on the bottom side we find the 3,5 mm jack, the speaker and finally the microUSB connector. I confess: I would have preferred - and would have expected - a USB Type-C, more modern and in line with the young image of Realme, but in the end the type of input has very little impact on everyday use.

Very wide the display: 6,3 inches, 18: 9 format and FullHD + resolution. Present the now classic notch, which you will not be able to hide in any way, and a pre-applied protective film that helps you protect the screen from fingerprints.

Really good display brightness as well as color rendering. In the Settings menu you also have the possibility to adjust the color temperature, to enable the night protection and to wake up with the lifting of the device, essential given the absence of the always-on.

Excellent performance and incredible autonomy

Realme 3 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory, which I remind you to be expandable via microSD. All of this allows you to do practically anything with the device: you can surf, work or play without ever missing a beat.

Discreet audio and good connectivity, even if we have a great asset: the NFC. This means that you will have to give up on digital payments, a real shame given the audience it seems to be intended for.

On the other hand, the 4050 mAh battery it guarantees is fully promoted a day and a half of autonomy without major difficulties. In short, in case you forget to recharge it during the night you will not find it turned off when you wake up, but rather ready to accompany you for the rest of the morning.

What about the software? The smartphone inherits from Oppo the ColorOS 6.0 and therefore presents the same problems recently encountered on Oppo Reno: graphics not always consistent, some missing functions but nothing really annoying. In short, in the end it is pleasant to use.

Let's talk about the camera

Realme 3 Pro if you present with a dual rear camera, with a 16 megapixel main sensor and a 5 megapixel one dedicated to depth calculation. Together they really turn out a good match, with very satisfying photos suppur a little chromatically charged.

And in the dark? Nothing surprising but the Night mode it helps you to get discreet shots anyway.

Finally we have the videos, in 4K but without stabilization, which exposes them to the natural shaking of the shooter, and to selfies, which take advantage of the 25 megapixel camera and which are quite good.

Realme 3 Pro: buy it or not?

Realme 3 Pro is coming passed with full marks: it is modern, performing, equipped with a good camera and an incredible autonomy. In short, at 199 euros (but also 249 euros) it is a real bargain, despite some small flaws and some waivers.

Do you want to buy it? Know that at the moment you can only find it on the official website of the company.
