Apple wants to bring a screen Mini LEDs also on the version from 11-inch iPad Pro next year. Or at least this is what emerges from the expert's analysis Ming-chi Kuo, who seems convinced that the apple brings the new screen technology to the smaller iPad Pro in the 2022.

Mini LED technology uses thousands of small LEDs to create localized darker shadow areas. This allows for a greater contrast, while maintaining excellent performance in HDR. In fact, if the OLED screens are likely to be not very bright for a portable device (while they are excellent for TVs), the Mini LEDs allow a winning combination. The 12,9-inch version of the iPad Pro already uses this technology, with 2.500 dimming zones that offer really good contrasts: perhaps the best available in the world of tablets.
The decision is also more courageous than it appears at first glance. It seems in fact that Apple has had supply problems with the iPad Pro 12,9 screen this year. In fact, not all over the world the new model is available in stock, with waits from two to three weeks to get the tablet. The decision to increase the number of models with this technology suggests that Apple is reconfiguring the supply chain to get and mount these screens faster, even at the moment there is no information about it.
Also because Kuo also evaluates that the MacBook's next line could use Mini LED screens. Apple has already launched a MacBook Pro 13 with an M1 chip, but it seems it wants to thicken the line in the next twelve months. THE 14 and 16 inch models they have already gone into production and should be presented by the end of the year. But the company is also working to bring out a MacBook Air in 2022.
It therefore seems that Apple has decided to focus on Apple Silicon processors and Mini LEDs for its PCs and iPad Pro for the next few years. Instead, the base models of the iPad is expected to adopt OLED technology, known for several years and therefore less expensive in production.
