WhatsApp adds the search for stickers
The stickers arrived on the app from almost two years but now the company wants to make their use even more intuitive and comfortable. BetaInfo, which analyzes the code of the messaging app at each update to find the news, found the news in the beta version of WhatsApp 2.20.198.5.
WhatsApp has added a button in the shape of a magnifying glass next to the shortcuts for emojis (smileys), GIFs and stickers. By pressing it, it is possible to search among the stickers available for the most suitable one to reply to the message received. In addition to searching by keywords, there are on the screen different cards for the more "classic" answers: Everyone, Love, Greetings, Happy, Sad, Angry and Celebration.
It seems that even in the beta the search function is not fully supported: after using it for the first time, it no longer appears automatically. However, this possibility in the beta indicates that WhatsApp has decided to focus on animated smileys. Already at the launch of the stickers, WA experts had talked about the search function but the company had not wanted to implement it. Maybe the time is finally coming.
In addition to the stickers, the new beta of WhatsApp supports multiple devices. Apparently, the messaging app is working to enable the synchronization across multiple platforms. We don't know how much these features will be implemented.
You can try the new one search function for stickers on WhatsApp by downloading the beta from the Play Store and becoming a tester. Keep in mind that beta versions do not have the same stability as versions released to the public.
