Windows 10 21H1: the update is rolling out en masse, Microsoft is preparing 21H2

As Microsoft prepares to roll out the Windows 10 November Update (21H2), version 21H1 of the operating system is now widely distributed. Some PCs will even be able to install it automatically. Good news for those who want to wait before switching to Windows 11.

In general, Microsoft authorizes the large-scale deployment of a Windows update as soon as the next one is in preparation. Right now, it turns out that Windows 21 version 2H10, the November update, should be coming soon. Thereby, version 21H1 (May 2021) lands massively on users' PCs. In some cases, the update will even install automatically.




Since its launch, Windows 10 21H1 has been patched and patched multiple times by Microsoft. This version is therefore more stable than ever, in addition to offering maximum security for users. On its support site, the Redmond firm strongly advises them to install it without delay. Here's how to do it:

  • type Windows + I to open Windows settings
  • Go to the section Windows Update
  • Click on Check for updates
  • Once the process is complete, download the update and install it
  • Restart your computer

Microsoft is preparing Windows 10 21:2 p.m. for those who don't want Windows 11

Windows 21 update 2H10 is therefore imminent and should be available during this month. Microsoft has indicated that it will be build 19044.1288 which will be deployed to the general public. Members of the Insider program can install it today through the Release Preview channel.




The update will be content to make some minor improvements, the new features are now reserved for Windows 11. In the program, we will find compatibility with the WPA3 H2E standard as well as GPUs for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and a reworked Windows Hello.
