Facebook and alternative app problems on Android and iOS

Going to Facebook is a common practice for everyone, but doing it on mobile is a small unknown: the App has in fact a series of more or less known problems, which has prompted many to look for an alternative. Here are the reasons why theFacebook app is currently rather not recommended for use:

  • Make a disproportionate use of resources of our cell phone. On several occasions the Facebook App can use up to 20% of our battery. It is completely unable to stop working in the Background and will always use CPU and RAM like never before.

  • Sometimes change language in some phones, or it just doesn't work as it should.
  • He works in strange ways. The code often reports functions never explained by the house, discussed several times in the field of Privacy. There is at least one report on how Facebook once remotely shut down the app in all mobiles in an area selected by them.
  • View continuously notifications on the phone display

You can uninstall the Facebook App in various ways, both on iOS and Android. It is not impossible to remove.

And here are the methods to replace the Facebook App once and for all:

Android: download Metal. This application replaces the Facebook App and uses its Mobile version as effectively as possible. It is light, does not spy on you (at least to a large extent) and does not consume all the resources of your mobile phone to function. It also has a large set of functions to improve not only the combined functions of the Social Network, but also to browse it with less consumption (for example, it has the classic Dark mode for Amoled Displays). A Must for those who are fed up with the Facebook App. The paid version is even more equipped.

iOS: add a shortcut in the Home. Go to the Facebook site through Safari, log into your account and use the Share function. Among the functions below you will notice the "Add to Home". This will make sure that when you open Facebook, it will be through Safari.

Don't forget that you can do the same thing on Android, through Chrome! The same browser can also share Facebook notifications with you, unlike iOS which simply cannot (just enable email notifications).
