Seventeen years later

The story presented in Far Cry New Dawn takes place seventeen years after the events occurred on Far Cry 5. After the nuclear event devastates the world, survivors attempt to rebuild the community in Hope County.

But their efforts are threatened by the Highwaymen, a traveling group of organized bandits led by their twin sisters Mickey and Lou. The survivors are then forced to form an alliance with New Eden despite the fact that they may pose a greater threat than the Highwaymen.

Right from the start New Dawn looks like its predecessor, many elements are in fact similar such as weapons, resources and various objects that we will be able to use. However, this does not mean that the title is the same as Far Cry 5 on the contrary, it is a very different product although it has some similarities.

Our adventure will take place in Hope County, where we will have a chance to explore new areas of Montana, "born into the world" after the nuclear war of the previous chapter. New characters will enter and familiar faces will return instead.

In this title we will take on the role of a new character, nicknamed the "Captain", who is part of a group that travels the country assisting other groups of needy survivors. The generally and Razz of our character are also Customizable.

Similar but different

Far Cry New Dawn, as previously mentioned, is similar to Far Cry 5: it is a first person shooter set in an open world that players can easily explore on foot or through the available vehicles.

One of our main concerns will be to make our headquarters thrive and to do that we will need to thoroughly explore our map to find components, ethanol and also characters who intend to help us grow the place.

Thanks to this we will be able, consequently, unlock new weapons, more powerful objects and vehicles able to help us in the course of our adventure. Among the new additions, then, we find new weapons, modifiable through various missions and vehicles that we can easily build to our liking.

Here too we can increase the slots for weapons and ammo, equip the wingsuit, grappling hook and improve inventory for med kits.

We can also to recruit survivors and animals that will be of great help to us during the fight, just like in Far Cry 5. This also means that we will have company during our adventures.

Skill and treasure hunt

One element that leaves a bad taste in the mouth concerns the ability that can be unlocked thanks to the experience points we earn: they are all too classic and have nothing that can be considered particular.

There will also be the opportunity to take part in treasure hunts to free several enemy camps. These are camps of the Warriors of the Road that once freed, they will become fast travel points that will allow us to navigate the world faster.

In this regard it is good to make a note about the map: compared to Far Cry 5, as well as being smaller it is also more desolate, so there will be fewer things to see. Despite this, there will be no shortage of interesting surprises during our explorations.

Atmosphere and graphics: a touch of vitality

The atmosphere that reigns from the beginning of the title does not fully reflect the place that will host us. The feeling of distress e violence that will accompany us, will find itself in stark contrast to the environment which, despite having gone through a cataclysm, results intensely full of life.

[

La nature identity is the main element that keeps this environment alive, characterized by dense green forests, long shimmering streams and vibrant and intense colors. The views presented, especially the nocturnal ones, are enchanting, able to leave the player speechless.

On consoles like PlayStation 4 Pro, flanked by HDR support, the graphics will certainly be more breathtaking and intense than you can imagine.

In conclusion

Far Cry New Dawn looks like a great product, worthy of its predecessor. The graphics leave you speechless, the characters are well crafted and the story is able to captivate the player, allowing him to explore new areas and locations.

On the other hand, the RPG aspect, which should be the basis of everything, does not convince and fails, despite everything, to overcome the previous chapter. However, it is an excellent sequel, able to make fans of the series happy.
