▷Freebox Mini 4K: Netflix is finally available on the TV box 🥇

Netflix is finally available on the Freebox Mini 4K. Free subscribers can now install the application allowing access to productions of the VOD service from the Play Store. It is also possible to subscribe directly through the TV box. In addition, Free assures us that Netflix will arrive “soon” on the Freebox Revolution. In short, the war between the two firms is finally over.

“Freebox Mini 4K subscribers can now find Netflix as an option on their Freebox and directly access its rich and exclusive content on their television: original series, films, stand-ups, documentaries and programs including for children” announces Iliad, parent company of Free, in a press release. So far the Netflix application was blocked on the TV box. To take advantage of it, subscribers absolutely had to install an APK file.

From November 26, 2021, Freebox Mini 4K subscribers can installer l'application Android TV of Netflix directly from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, subscribers do not benefit from a preferential rate contrary to what had been promised in December 2021.

To access the Netflix catalog, they will have to opt for one of the 4 streaming service offers directly from the application or the Free subscriber area. The cost of the subscription will then be added to the monthly invoice sent by the ISP. Here is how to subscribe via the box:

Go first to your Free subscriber area
Go to the section Television
Click on Netflix
Click on You don't have a Netflix subscription
A page will then open to relay you to the platform site. Choose one of the subscriptions.
Press Continue
Create an account by entering your email address and a password. Follow the instructions.

The subscription is non-binding and can be canceled at any time. Please note, to enjoy the Netflix application on your Freebox Mini 4K, you must first start with restart the box in order to force installing the update.

Netflix is soon available on the Freebox Revolution

In the same press release, Free assures us that Netflix will be soon available on the Freebox Revolution. Free is clearly ready to bury the hatchet with the American VOD service, after years of tension over the Netflix speeds offered by the ISP. Since then, Nettflix and Free have worked together to find solutions through interconnection. In December 2021, Free had already released ballast by integrating Netflix directly into its Freebox Delta and One.
