Installer VDownloader
Tools for recording audio/video streams from the Web are legion, but some may require relatively complex settings. This is not the case with VDownloader which requires almost no configuration. Free, easy to use and very complete, the latter is responsible for downloading and encoding a sequence alone in the format of your choice. It works in particular through a remarkable extension to be installed directly in the Firefox browser.Visit the official VDownloader website to download and install the extension. Its logo then appears in the toolbar of the browser. The latter will flash each time it detects a media that it can recover. VDownloader is compatible with many content sharing sites: Dailymotion, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe, MySpace, etc.
Record audio/video streams
Over the course of updates, the program has become so simple that one click is now enough to record an audio/video sequence. When a media interests you, click on the small arrow to the right of the VDownloader logo and choose one of the formats and definitions offered: mp4, flv, 3gp (360, 480, 720, 1080p...). In the window that opens, all you have to do is indicate in which folder to save the sequence and that's it.
When recording, it is possible to choose other formats in order to convert the video so that it can be played directly on a mobile device (iPhone, iPod, Zune, Galaxy Tab...) and common formats such as : Avi, WMV, MPEG-4, etc. To do this, click on the logo and select “Download and convert” from the menu that appears on the right. Choose the format of your choice, click “OK” then “Save” in the window that opens.
