Oppo Reno 2 vs Reno 2Z comparison: design

At first glance, the two devices may seem almost identical: on both we lose the matte finish that we had appreciated on the previous versions, gaining in the meantime an elegant and solid glossy body. Too bad, however, for the fingerprints, particularly evident on the dark colors. Then we have the same ceramic hemisphere located on the bottom, which slightly raises the cameras to avoid graphics, and a photographic compartment that maintains more or less the same arrangement.

With regard to size we are faced with two similar but different devices. The Reno 2Z is slightly taller and longer despite the size of the are identical: a AMOLED from 6,5 inches for both models. However, the graphic rendering changes since Reno 2 uses the P3 color space which is wider than the classic sRGB and offers more saturation and more contrast. This is a detail and the difference is evident only after a careful direct comparison between the two screens.

The two smartphones share a 48MP main sensor, for an 8 MP wide angle it's a 2 MP sensor dedicated to depth. The Reno 2 also features a 12 MP telezoom us 5x hybrid and 20x digital zoom. The Reno 2Z instead has a black and white camera useful for promoting greater contrast to photos by giving up the telephoto lens. As for the front camera, they both have a 16 MP sensor.

Alongside all these cameras we also find some news in terms of software including:

Performance

Oppo Reno 2 vs Reno 2Z comparison: which one to choose? The big difference between the two models obviously concerns the performance given by the use of two processors.

Il Reno 2 indeed uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G while the Reno 2Z relies on the MediaTek Helio P90. They both mount 8 GB of RAM, as the internal memory changes: 256 GB of internal memory for the Oppo Reno 2 and 128 GB for the Oppo Reno 2z, expandable via micro SD. But be careful: in the case of the Reno 2 model you will have to give up the dual SIM.

From the point of view of the performance, the Qualcomm processor makes the Reno 2 slightly more performing but we actually played, navigated and worked with the Reno 2Z without too much difficulty. The only data to take into consideration is that the Mediatek processor is less optimized, this means that on Reno 2z you will have a battery drain superiore compared to the Rhine 2
