Samsung Music: Spotify is now directly accessible in the application

Spotify is now directly integrated into Samsung Music, the application offered to users of Samsung smartphones. Thanks to a new update, it is now possible to search for songs, artists or playlists on Spotify without leaving Samsung Music. Please note, to listen to a song you will nevertheless be redirected to the Spotify application on Android. We explain how it works.

An update of Samsung Music is currently being rolled out to all devices of the South Korean brand. The update shakes up the application interface by integrating a tab directly dedicated to Spotify.

This new tab will provide you with music recommendations. Unfortunately, these tips are not based on your musical taste. Rather, it is a random selection of popular titles. Likewise, it is not not possible to play music on Spotify directly in Samsung Music. To open a track, installing the Spotify application on your smartphone is always essential. For Spotify, this is a new strategy to attract Internet users to its platform.

However, the Spotify tab allows you to browse the Favorites tabs, Playlists, Tracks, Albums, Artists and Library without leaving Samsung Music. Via the application, it is also possible to view or pause the song currently playing on Spotify.

Samsung Music is available for download at Samsung Galaxy Apps as well as on the Google Play Store. For now, the update is still being rolled out. It should be available to everyone in the days to come.
