Apple Keynote: how to follow the March 8 event

Appointment at 19:00 for today's Apple keynote, in which the Cupertino company will present some of its most anticipated news. Go ahead and set the alarm, and choose how to follow the event live, because Apple offers you many possibilities to do so. To begin with, as usual, the company will broadcast the event on its official website, from which you can even add it to your calendar, so as to make sure you don't miss it. But it is certainly not the only option available. If you prefer, in fact, you can follow the keynote in live streaming from Apple's YouTube channel. Finally, the event will be broadcast on Apple TV. For the occasion, apparently, an option will be available that will allow you to follow the Apple keynote live from the application.

How long will the Apple event last?

If you want to better organize your evening so as not to miss today's Apple event, you should consider that the presentation could last about an hour and a half. As seen in past presentations, since the company chose not to host face-to-face events, the pace of announcements has gotten faster. This means that even today we should expect a concentrated presentation, but full of news. Let's find out which ones at this point.

What to expect from today's Apple event?

iPhone SE 3

As anticipated, the news that we will see at the Apple keynote are many, and very different from each other. The absolute protagonist of today will be theiPhone SE 3, the company's first budget smartphone to feature the 5G connectivity. From what we know, the device should have a very traditional design, in all respects similar to that of the iPhone 8. Yet, it could surprise us with two interesting new features: the chip A15 Bionic - the same as the iPhone 13, so to speak - and the 5G modem. Details that will surely make you forget the small 4.7-inch display.

iPad Air 5

Although Apple has announced its intention to reduce tablet production due to the lack of chips, today's keynote could give us an interesting news in this regard, theFifth generation iPad Air. A device that will arrive on the market with noteworthy technical features, including the chip A15 Bionic it's a back camera from 12 MP with True Tone quad-LED flash. No anticipation, however, regarding the iPad display, for which the introduction of an OLED panel was assumed. Apparently, in fact, Apple was unable to conclude its agreement with Samsung in time, and was therefore forced to postpone the integration of the new OLED display to future models.

If the iPhone Se 3 and the iPad Air 5 have always been considered the protagonists of the Apple keynote on March 8, the rumors about the possible presentation of the MacStudio they began to circulate only in the last few hours. The device, apparently, would be a perfect combination of the design of the Mac Mini and Mac Pro power. A novelty that Apple could present today, as reported by the well-known leaker Mark Gurman, which also announced the possible launch of an "external monitor with iOS ready for sale". The expert could refer to the 27-inch external display for Mac that Ming-Chi Kuo "spoiled" a few days ago.

Am told the Mac Studio (smaller Mac Pro/more powerful Mac mini) plus the new monitor running iOS are “ready to go” – so I believe they should arrive tomorrow.

But the probable launch of the Mac Studio isn't the only news announced by Gurman. According to the leaker yesterday, “it will be strange that the M2 is announced alongside an M1 series Mac mini / Mac Studio / Small Mac Pro, so perhaps we should look for it as part of the May-June cycle. On the other hand, Apple is now testing M2 Mac (8 CPU / 10 core GPU) against App Store apps “. In short, today's Apple keynote may not give us any news on the M2 chip front, but that is not necessarily the case. The Cupertino company has amazed us more than once, and it could do so even today. Eyes on the event at 19pm, then, to find out what we could buy in the next few days.
