Google Lens also copies the text of the images on the web
Google is working to bring the features of its Lens app to all the services where it can come in handy. This software bundle may go unnoticed for many but offers additional features that may become essential for some users. For example, who collects screenshots of documents, slides and infographics for work or study you can now copy the text directly on the web.
The function of recognizing and copying text in images arrived last month on the mobile Photos app. Use theOCR (Optical Character Recognition) to read the text also in images. But having this feature accessible on the desktop makes it more usable, especially for those who need a PC to work or study.
How the new copy function works
To use OCR in Google Photos, all you have to do is click the "Copy the text from the image”(The function may not be available for all images). Once activated, you just have to click and drag the mouse cursor over the text you want to copy. Google's algorithm recognizes text and highlights it as if you were in a Word document or PDF. Now you just have to click “Copy” in the context menu that opens.
