Put the mobile phone in charge it is an operation that takes a few seconds away: you plug in the cable, wait for the small confirmation beep and go to do something else. For a number of reasons, it can happen that the battery refuses to be charged despite everything being done correctly.

Fortunately, it is not essential to run to the nearest service center when this problem occurs. Reason? Simple, you can do a few tries before finally throwing in the towel.

And if every attempt is in vain, here's where you can buy your new smartphone at the best prices

    1) Restart your mobile

Often, smartphone problems like this are caused by a momentary malfunction. To rule out that this was the cause of the problem, you should start with a reboot.

Restarting the mobile will close all background services. This action involves restoring the main components of the smartphone, in case one had crashed during the execution of a task.

To quickly restart your mobile, everyone knows, you press the power button and select the option "Restart".

If the charging function is properly restored after a reboot, you should take a thorough look at all the apps you have installed over time and uninstall the ones you do not have the utmost confidence in.

    2) Charge your mobile in safe mode

As a second measure, try restarting your mobile in safe mode. In practice, it is a protected environment whereby the mobile phone works only with the supplied software. This means that any downloaded third-party apps will not run in safe mode.

If you manage to charge your mobile in this mode, the culprit is certainly one of these apps. At this point, consider the apps you have recently downloaded and installed - one of them could be the cause of your problem.

Uninstall recent apps and apps you don't trust as much, or even ones you haven't used in a long time, then restart your phone normally and see if it loads again.

If you are unable to solve the problem with this method, the best solution is to resort to a factory reset.

To access the Safe mode On most new Android-based devices, press and hold the power button. Now hold the button down Switch off: After confirmation, the mobile will restart in safe mode. To exit safe mode repeat the procedure, selecting the option Restart.

Since not all versions of Android work the same, the procedure may differ from phone to phone. If the steps outlined here don't work, try visiting your cell phone's support page or Google "safe mode android cell phone model".

    3) Change cable / socket / adapter

Cell phone charging problems could be traced to a faulty accessory. A wire may have a half-detached wire, the transformer may be defective, or even the connector may not transmit current correctly.

For this you should try to charge the device via a different cable, or another charger or power supply. The easiest way to check if a cable is OK is to connect the mobile phone to a computer via a USB socket.

If the cell phone is able to charge through the PC you can narrow down the possible culprits to the transformer or socket. In case an alternate cable or other power supply worked, you can invest in buying a new one. We recommend the originals or those supplied by well-known and reliable companies.

    4) Make sure it is not a software problem

A fairly well known bug in mobile operating systems prevents the loading icon from appearing when connecting the mobile to a power source. An app called Ampere lets you find out if your mobile is suffering from this problem.

Ampere allows you to see how much current the mobile phone is charging or discharging at any given moment. So when you connect it to a power source, open the app and check if the mobile is charging. Since the culprit here is a software bug, you can wait for an operating system update or try to perform a hard reset to fix it.

The app is also very useful to see if the mobile phone battery is in good condition, the available voltage and the current temperature.

    5) Clean the charger port

Since it is always exposed to dirt, the charger port is one of the most vulnerable elements of the mobile phone. Dust particles accumulate rapidly, compromising the connection of the phone to a power source.

Inspect the door, and if you notice any dirt or grease buildup, clean it. The way you can do this is by passing it a dry cotton swab. Obviously, take it easy.

For a closer look, use a flashlight to inspect the door. If you notice something stuck, you can try to use a toothpick to get it out. After thorough cleaning, try to charge your mobile again.

    6) Did he fall into the water? Dry it

If there is even the slightest chance that the cell phone has been submerged or even just splashed heavily, you shouldn't try to charge it. First you should not only dry the shell (this is the obvious thing to do), but make sure the inside is completely dry.

To save a mobile phone that has fallen into water, there are various methods, including blowing hot (not hot) air with a hairdryer, placing it in a bowl full of rice etc. However, you will have to wait at least one day before you can connect the mobile phone to the power socket.
